Ipshita Thakur is currently pursuing her BA (Hons) Fine Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts and is experimenting with mixed media as well as non-visual elements in her works. Living by herself in a new country and being exposed to varying degrees of images, opinions, ideas and theories has greatly altered how she perceives constructions of identities and the processes of socialization. She is interested in satirically examining and deconstructing conventional ideologies in conjunction with exploring the conceptions of modern day roles & identities (or the lack of) in the contexts of consumerism, hyperreality, hypomania, addiction and ungendered bodies.
